What to do on a hot June weekend when you can’t face the traffic to the coast?…..well you might like to make a visit to Painshill Park near Cobham, Surrey. I am kicking myself I haven’t discovered this historic and beautiful place before! It prides itself as ‘one of the finest 18th century landscape parks in Europe’ and I can now vouch that it’s perfect for family walks and picnics.

Robbie and Jess were given a gift voucher at Christmas time for a family ‘on location’ portrait session package by Robbie’s sister Ruth. It was Ruth’s suggestion that we chose Painshill Park as the location for the session. And what a splendid idea – it allowed us to combine the ‘shoot’ with a leisurely stroll round the grounds spotting herons and geese and catching some sun too.
